Mathew Odenthal has worked in the construction industry his entire professional life in Minnesota. His first job was as a framer, which he held until the 2008–2009 housing crisis hit the economy. He built a lot of houses in Farmington, Minnesota. As a result, new home construction has come to a halt. Mathew decided to brush up on his knowledge of high-end construction because he was bored and had nothing to do.
The housing market eventually stabilized, allowing Matt Odenthal to return to his passion of home construction. He learned more about high-end remodeling after the market calmed down. Working on high-end house renovations and becoming an expert finisher provided him with valuable experience. Even though he enjoyed remodeling existing homes, when it came to construction, he preferred to start from scratch. The only option he could think of was to restart his construction company.
